The unit consists of a robust, welded, and normalized structure. Mounted on this structure is a blade-holding electrospindle that moves vertically on ball-bearing slides along hardened guides. The blade's stroke is controlled by a pneumatic cylinder, with its speed regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.
The blade is inserted into a pneumatically operated pressure beam, ensuring the material is securely clamped to the worktable during cutting operations. Blade rotation is only possible when the pressure beam is lowered, following the activation of the cutting command via a dual-hand safety button.
A lower conveyor collects the chips produced by the blade and directs them to a side outlet, which can be connected to the central extraction system. An additional extraction port is located on the worktable to capture material generated by the blade's rotation.
Plastic strips are positioned on both sides of the access door to protect the operator, closing off the danger zone before the pressure beam descends and the blade rises. A pneumatic cylinder with a 275 mm stroke enables the machine to automatically retract when not in use for cutting operations.
It can handle cutting widths ranging from 50 to 550 mm and thicknesses from 30 to 360 mm. The panel saw is equipped with two high-strength guides for automatic sliding, allowing the machine to automatically move to an "out-of-the-way" position during idle phases.
Material loading and unloading are performed manually.
