A CONVEYOR DRYER is a machine designed to remove moisture from solid materials in a continuous and controlled manner. This type of dryer uses a conveyor belt, typically made of metal mesh or heat-resistant fabric, on which the material to be dried is placed. The belt moves slowly within a drying chamber, where the material is exposed to a flow of hot air.
During the process, the hot air passes through the material, evaporating the moisture. The airflow can be directed from bottom to top or vice versa, depending on the design of the dryer and the material’s characteristics. The drying occurs evenly due to the constant speed of the belt and the controlled distribution of hot air.
Conveyor dryers are particularly suitable for fragile, thin, or pasty materials that require gentle treatment, such as food products, herbs, medicinal plants, chemicals, and biomass. Thanks to their ability to operate continuously and the precise control over the process, these dryers are widely used in various industrial sectors, including the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Our experience has led us to perfect this dryer for drying wood chips or sawdust in the biomass sector.
The N-NF model is a conveyor dryer with a polyester fabric belt, designed to be connected to a hot water/steam generator provided by the customer’s process.
In this dryer, the airflow goes from top to bottom. The air passes from the outside to the inside of the dryer, through heat exchangers located on the top of the machine, then across the material, and finally through the fabric belt, which filters the airflow with high efficiency. At the end of the system, a centrifugal fan creates a vacuum at the bottom of the belt, uniformly extracting the process air containing vapor and releasing it into the atmosphere.
The belt’s fabric allows for emission values below 30 mg/m³, meeting the strictest European regulations regarding atmospheric emissions.
Can be extended at any time to increase the dissipative power, fully bolted, with no need for on-site welding.
Equipped with a very tight weave to retain dust emissions and allow high performance (emissions below 30 mg/Nm³) and low electrical consumption.
Constant monitoring of loading augers, fan, and belt motor with an inverter for high energy savings.
Continuous humidity detection probe at the exit of the dryer (optional at the entry), TDR technology with analog output for continuous humidity and temperature of the material, controlled by our software.
or thorough cleaning of the belt, it is recommended to install a high-pressure pump that uses water at temperatures ranging from 20-90°C for cleaning. The belt is typically cleaned every 10-12 km of operation, or approximately once a week or every two weeks with continuous dryer operation.
If the drying system is installed in an area where low noise impact is required, the N-NF models can be equipped with a soundproof cabin for the fan and a system.
